Juan José Revenga was born in Madrid in 1959. He began his career as a photographer for the mythical newspaper YA. In the eighties, he worked as a press correspondent in the war zones of Nicaragua, Iraq, El Salvador, Panama, and Saddam Hussein’s Iraq during the time of the American Invasion. From 1990 to 1993, he experienced the collapse of the Soviet Union firsthand, and witnessed the wars in Yugoslavia, Armenia, Ossetia o Chechnya. He has produced and directed documentaries for major American TV networks and has created numerous series for TVE.
