JUAN MANUEL DE PRADA (Baracaldo in 1970) won the Premio Planeta in 1997 for La tempestad (The Storm), which was translated into more than twenty languages and won him international fame, after which the magazine The New Yorker chose him as one of the most promising writers in Europe. La vida invisible (The Invisible Life, 2003) won the Premio Primavera and the Premio Nacional de Narrativa, while El séptimo velo (The Seventh Veil, 2007) won the Premio Biblioteca Breve and the Premio de la Crítica de Castilla y León. In 2012 he published Me hallará la muerte (Death Will Find Me) and in 2014 Morir bajo tu cielo (Dying Under Your Sky), which critics have described as his best novel.
