Miguel Pita

Miguel Pita is a Doctor of Genetics and Cellular Biology. He has spent his career in research and teaching at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he gives classes in Evolution and Genetics. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and his field of research includes a wide range of different subjects from cytogenetics to etiology. He regularly works with universities in the USA, Chile and Australia on different scientific and educational projects. Beyond the world of academia, he has also directed several short films and documentaries, trying to combine his passions for film and biology because both disciplines “seek to understand and analyse life in their own way.” Dictatorial DNA is his first educational book, but he has spent years practicing explaining scientific discoveries to his friends and other animals.
