Pío Font Quer (Lleida, 1888-Barcelona, 1964) was a botanist, pharmacist, one of the most important scientific minds of Catalonia and Spain from the first half of the twentieth century, as well as a great teacher devoted to the dissemination of knowledge. Peninsula offers two other works by the same author: Dictionary of Botany and Picturesque Botany.
